EU Space Academy

The EU Space Academy Learning Platform offers free online courses, workshops and mentoring opportunities designed to help participants develop both technical and business-related skills relevant to the European space ecosystem. The programme covers topics such as Earth observation, satellite navigation, secure connectivity, space security, entrepreneurship, innovation and the wider EU Space Programme. 

Through self-paced online learning, live workshops and expert-led sessions, users can deepen their understanding of space technologies and their applications while gaining practical insights into innovation, market opportunities and business development. The Academy enables learners to tailor their own learning journey according to their interests, professional goals and level of experience. 

Girls Go STEM resources for students

Girls Go STEM is a European initiative that helps young people, particularly girls, develop digital, entrepreneurial and sustainability skills through interactive online learning and challenge-based activities. The programme combines self-paced learning with practical projects, helping participants build skills that are increasingly relevant for future studies and careers in STEM-related fields. 

Through the Girls Go STEM learning platform, you can explore topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics, sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation while working on real-world challenges alongside other learners. The programme is available free of charge across Europe and helps participants strengthen their problem-solving, teamwork, creativity and leadership skills 

A Body of Knowledge (BoK) for EO/GI

The EO4GEO Body of Knowledge (BoK) is a comprehensive resource covering the knowledge, skills and competencies required in the fields of Earth Observation (EO) and Geographic Information (GI). Developed through a European collaboration of universities, industry and training providers, it helps learners better understand the skills needed for careers involving satellite data, geospatial technologies, remote sensing and Earth observation applications.  

By exploring the EO4GEO BoK, you can discover how different technical concepts, skills and professional profiles are connected across the Earth observation sector. The platform can help you identify learning pathways, understand emerging competence requirements and explore career opportunities linked to Copernicus, geospatial technologies and the wider European space ecosystem. 

ENTRUSTED training programme

The ENTRUSTED training programme provides an introduction to secure satellite communications (SatCom), helping you understand the fundamentals of satellite technology, communication systems and the delivery of secure communication services. The course also introduces the concept of Governmental Satellite Communications (GOVSATCOM), an increasingly important capability for public authorities, security-critical operations and key infrastructure services across Europe. 

Designed for learners with little or no prior knowledge of satellite communications, the self-paced online course combines presentations, videos and practical examples to build a solid understanding of secure SatCom systems and their applications. Whether you are interested in space technologies, secure connectivity or public-sector communication systems, the programme offers a valuable introduction to a rapidly growing area of the European space ecosystem.
