Coference for Non Space Sector

The activity is designed to bridge the gap between service recipients and service providers, with a significant focus on startups and SMEs, which are considered the most prominent actors in the space sector.

The idea of our project was to inspire those who run their businesses but do not yet use satellite data. Through discussions and meetings, it became clear that space is not such a distant reality. For example, satellite data can be instrumental in identifying harmful asbestos or locating specific habitats of endangered plants. We were pleased to hear from our participants that companies already using satellite data were able to help solve their technological problems.

In this way, we successfully achieved the following objectives:

• Increasing awareness of the applicability of satellite data.
• Engaging and building relationships between startups and SMEs in the space sector and representatives from non-space industries. We are pleased to note that some of the collaborations initiated during the project are ongoing.
• Promoting the Copernicus program.
• Creating new ideas and applications using satellite data, which may be transformed into operational businesses.
