FPCUP Regional Workshop on Copernicus tools for the flooding of Evros river
On May 15th, the PRAXI Network/FORTH, in collaboration with the BEYOND Operational Unit / IAASARS / NOA, organized the event titled “FPCUP Regional Workshop on Copernicus tools for the flooding of Evros river” at the Prefectural Hall of Alexandroupolis, under the auspices of the Regional Unit of Evros.
The purpose of the event was to present the services of the Copernicus program and address the challenge of flooding in the cross-border Evros River basin, aiming to highlight the potential of Copernicus data and tools for monitoring and tackling this phenomenon.
The workshop brought together stakeholders from the affected countries — Greece, Bulgaria, and Turkey — including public authorities, volunteer groups, university departments, as well as startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The PRAXI Network/FORTH presented the services it offers to the Greek innovation ecosystem, as well as its activities within the framework of the European FPCUP project.
