ISPRA at the ANCI Annual Assembly with thematic meetings
This is an important opportunity to learn about new data and scientific reports: from 25 to 26 October, ISPRA will be present in the Blue Pavilion of the Fair in Genova as part of the annual assembly of ANCI, the National Association of Italian Municipalities.
In a dedicated stand, ISPRA organized a serie of thematic meetings: from land consumption to climatic extremes, from geological-urban activities to sediment management issues. The workshops are conceived as open working tables, with space for expert and stakeholder interventions interested in the topics discussed.
The 40th ANCI Annual Assembly this year is entitled “Three colors on the heart. Mayors unite Italy”. The opening day on 24 October will be attended by Italian Republic President Sergio Mattarella.
The event is an opportunity to meet the municipalities and their central role in the relationship between the state and citizens: mayors and institutions will discuss issues such as the environment, energy, digitalization, infrastructure, PNRR, social needs and tourism.
The assembly is therefore the place to take stock of projects and solutions useful for the well-being of citizens and for future projects.
ISPRA meetings will begin on wednesday 25 October at 10 a.m. with Presentation of the SNPA Report “Land consumption, territorial dynamics and ecosystem services” " the up-to-date picture of the transformation processes of our territory with data and cartography elaborated by the National Environmental Protection System, to continue at 2 p.m. with the meeting dedicated to “Contaminated sites and remediation in the municipalities of Italy”.
In the afternoon, at 3 p.m., a meeting on" The resilience of cities in relation to their subsoil and climate extremes and ISPRA's geological-urban activities” and the “Urban Geo-climate Footprint project” will take place, while on Thursday 26 October from 9 a.m. it will be the turn of the meeting: “The movement and reuse of sediments in inland, marine and coastal waters and in the lagoons: towards circular management”.
