Whether your business needs to demonstrate new tech in space or accelerate time-to-market for its products, EU Space is here to help. Moreover, it's fostering the development of new cutting-edge technologies, like robotics and AI, that are transforming the development of space solutions.
Horizon Europe is the EU's framework programme for research and innovation for the 2021-2027 period. EU Space is funded through Horizon Europe's 'Digital, industry and space' cluster. A new R&I framework will be implemented for the 2028-2034 period.
In-Orbit-Demonstration and Validation (IOD/IOV) is the EU's programme to help new technologies be tested in orbit. Its goal is to foster a new generation of European space engineers and a commercial launchpad for tech developers, satellite manufacturers, and space transportation.
It will reduce the time it takes to bring new products to market, increase the competitiveness of the European space sector, enable new entrants, and increase EU autonomy in space.
In-Space Operations and Services (ISOS) will improve the performance, resilience, and sustainability of space assets. They include satellite servicing, assembly, manufacturing, removal, recycling and logistics in space.
The Commission recognises the strategic importance of ISOS, in particular with regard to commercialisation and protection of space infrastructure and the space environment.
