FPCUP Steering Committee and General Assembly

On Wednesday, January 17th, the FPCUP consortium gathered in Brussels to hold the 4th Steering Committee meeting and the 6th General Assembly meeting, both meetings were organised by the FPCUP-Coordination and hosted by DG DEFIS at the European Commission.

In the Steering Committee, which took place in the morning, partners presented a selection of implemented actions in two presentation blocks. The objective was to present examples and highlights from the FPCUP project to the Commission and to inform them about the current status of FPCUP.

The General Assembly, held in the afternoon, aimed to provide insights into upcoming topics and events within the FPCUP framework and European user uptake. Beyond internal FPCUP matters, such as a group work planning the next FPCUP workshop, the future of European User Uptake was a main topic. The centerpiece was a panel discussion featuring members of the European Commission, ECMWF and representatives of the FPCUP Consortium and Leadership Group. The panel discussion focused on the contribution to national Copernicus user uptake and was preceded by a keynote from Anna Samsel (DG DEFIS) on the future of European user uptake in the space sector.
