The second version of the snow load information system continues to provide daily snow load maps for stations in Bavaria. Based on user feedback collected during the user workshop in spring 2024, the visualization of the model deviation has been improved, and a new raster layer is now included, which will be shown when a sufficient number of stations with snow is available. The spatial model behind the raster layer uses in particular the Copernicus GLOB-30 digital elevation model (DEM) as secondary data.

The interactive map offers a clear overview of the data. An internet connection is required to display a background layer (topographic map), but it is not essential for pure data visualization.
