Storm Domingos on its way to Western Europe
As visible in this Copernicus Sentinel-3 image acquired on 3 November, Western Europe is bracing for another major storm system, called "Domingos", just a few days after the passage of Storm Ciarán.
Domingos is expected to bring strong winds, heavy rain and high waves to several countries, including France, Portugal, Spain, the UK and Italy. Authorities in the UK, Spain, and France have issued weather alerts as the storm is expected to have a major impact over the next few days.
The Copernicus Sentinel satellites provide a vast amount of open data that can be used to monitor the evolution and impacts of extreme weather events.
