This action aims to help Greek innovation businesses and start-ups to create innovative business solutions based on Copernicus.

The action will build on the successful Defra UK Earth Observation Centre of Excellence programme, which has delivered user dialogue, piloting and implementation of applications, and cross cutting Copernicus products and facilities to reduce the cost and complexity of applications for individual public bodies.

EU Member States are responsible for implementing EU regulations such as the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSD). Finland has developed advanced EO-based (Copernicus Sentinels) water quality related tools and practices that serve directive implementation.
