Offshore wind parks create renewable energy while having a lower visual footprint on the landscape. Horns Rev wind park in the North Sea off the Danish coast has a combined capacity of more than 700 MW and has been built in three phases. On this image, you can see the turbines of the last phase, Horns Rev 3, which have a hub height of over 100 m above the sea level.

On this true colour image, the shadows of the individual turbine blades are also visible. The tower foundations cause turbulence in the water, churning up sediments which cause the characteristic wake patterns.

Additionally, at this link, you can see a rare weather situation where the turbine blades cause condensation, creating wakes of clouds downwind of the wind farm.
