Con Dao National Park in Vietnam
The Con Dao National Park, located on Con Dao Islands off the southeastern coast of Vietnam, is a pristine and biodiverse natural reserve that encompasses a unique blend of lush tropical forests, diverse marine environment, and historic sites.
The park is renowned for its conservation efforts , particularly in protecting endangered sea turtles that nest on its shores. Con Dao, as well as 9 other sites in Vietnam, is now in the process of being inscribed on the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN)’s Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas (IUCN Green List) which is a set of global standards on successful conservation.
