The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) has published its latest monthly Climate Bulletin, focused on key climate trends in November 2024.
The bulletin indicates that November 2024 was the second-warmest November globally, following November 2023, with an average surface air temperature of 14.10°C, which is 0.73°C above the 1991-2020 average for the month.
From January to November 2024, the global-average temperature anomaly stood at 0.72°C above the 1991-2020 average, marking the highest recorded for this period and measuring 0.14°C warmer than the same period in 2023. In light of this trend, it is virtually certain that 2024 will be the warmest year on record, exceeding 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, according to C3S data.
