Seminar to Potential Users (Technicians In Geomatics) Organization of a Copernicus for Geomaticians Event
The main objective of this action is to inform and promote the use of Copernicus data and services in geomatics departments of public and private organizations.
Geomatics technicians must provide concrete solutions to land use planning, risk management, public health, etc… They often use reference data or other local data sets but they have little (or no) knowledge of Copernicus data that might be of interest to them in addressing these issues. These potential Copernicus end-users needs to be informed on the data and services, as spatial data and cartography are their daily activities.
A one-day technical seminar dedicated to theses potential end-users will address “which data sets”, “how to access” in the main following domains:
- Marine
- Atmospheric
- Land
The first part of the seminar will be key-notes animated by experts related to the three main targeted domains. A networking lunch will take place in the event premises. The second part of the day will be divided in three practical workshops for Geomaticians about how to manipulate and work with Copernicus data. A Copernicus/Geomatician job corner will also be present all along the event.
The target group is mainly composed of former students having benefitted from geomatics trainings and could be open to any other geomaticians interested in the topic.
Outputs and Results
